Inhalation with the Forspiro
Hold the inhaler upright and expose the mouthpiece by opening the protective cap and folding it back. Fold the edge of the white lever to the top. Tilt back the white lever until it snaps into place with a clicking noise. Bring the white lever completely back into its original position until it snaps into place again with a clicking noise. The inhaler is now ready for immediate use.
Please sit upright. Hold the inhaler straight with the protective cap to the bottom. Relax and breathe out slowly and deeply, but not into the inhaler.
Put the mouthpiece into your mouth and enclose your lips tightly around it.
Now inhale rapidly, deeply and strongly through the inhaler. Take the inhaler out of your mouth at the end of the inhalation.
Please hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, or as long as it is comfortable for you to do so.
Then breathe out slowly, but not into the inhaler.
Replace the protective cap on the mouthpiece to close the inhaler.
If you have to inhale corticosteroids, please rinse your mouth with water after use or eat something to prevent possible yeast infections in your mouth and throat.
It is possible to control whether the prescribed number of inhalations have been performed by disconnecting the blister strips at the end of the day. To do this, open the side compartment and carefully separate the emptied blister strips at the perforation.
The apparatus has a dose counter that counts backwards from 60 to zero, and indicates how many puffs are still available. The numbers have a red background when the last ten doses are reached.
Please read the package information leaflet. If you are not certain whether you are using the inhaler correctly, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
