Inhalation with the Diskus
Please sit upright and open the Diskus until the mouthpiece and the lever are visible. Thereafter the Diskus is put under pressure by pushing the little lever to the side, which is confirmed by a click.
Please breathe out slowly but not into the inhaler. Then put the mouthpiece into your mouth and enclose your lips tightly around it. Now inhale through your mouth as rapidly, strongly and deeply as possible.
After inhaling, please hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds. Thereafter breathe out slowly, but not into the inhaler.
At the end, close the Diskus inhaler by pushing back the thumb grip.
A dose counter indicates the number of puffs still available.
If you have to inhale corticosteroids, please rinse your mouth after use and eat something to prevent oral yeast infections.
Please read the package information leaflet carefully before use. If you are not certain whether you are using your inhaler correctly, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
